Student Services

The student experience is one of our priorities. It fuels the academic excellence offered by our programs and encourages our students to go beyond engineering to become bold, innovative experts who are open to the world and others.
To ensure the best possible experience throughout their studies, we have set up a support service aimed at creating a dynamic and inclusive environment, for a rich and diverse associative life with more than 35 active associations.

A dedicated service for a unique ENSEA student experience

ENSEA offers a service dedicated to supporting student life and the 35 associations present on campus.

The objective is to avoid the isolation of ENSEA students and to guide them in all aspects of their student life that are not related to their studies:

  • Administrative procedures: accommodation, scholarships, visas and residence permits
  • Material requirements: loan of computer equipment, organization and distribution of exceptional aid
  • Community life: organization of events, promotion of student engagement
  • Well-being, health and prevention:
    • Connection with dedicated support and listening structures
    • Agreement with a doctor on campus, access to a medical-psychological team
    • A social worker is present in the school one day a week
    • A team of study advisors who provide individual support to students in difficulty, in coordination with specialized organizations (HVSS, psychological assistance, legal and social aid)
    • A team of representatives trained in issues of disability, gender equality, racism-anti-Semitism-homophobia, HVSS and equal opportunities.
    • Reporting system for all forms of violence and harassment

International students: The International Relations Department supports you throughout your studies at ENSEA. Numerous initiatives are in place to facilitate your integration and support you in your efforts!

Financing your studies: loans, grants and student jobs

The Student Life department is available to answer all your questions and guide you in financing your education.

Several types of scholarships exist (CROUS, Georges Besse financial aid programs or Equal Opportunities of Val-d'Oise). If you have any doubts about your eligibility or how they work, do not hesitate to contact the department for information!

The State can guarantee your loan, in order to facilitate its obtaining.

  • Without personal guarantee or resource conditions
  • No parental or third-party guarantee
  • Maximum amount: 20 euros
  • Minimum duration: 2 years
  • Deferred reimbursement possible
  • The state guarantees 70% of the total loan amount, excluding interest. The remaining 30% is covered by the banks.

Please note: Only partner banks are affected by the scheme. These are Société Générale, Crédit Mutuel, CIC, Banque Populaire, Banque Postale, Crédit Agricole, BFCOI, and Caisse d'Epargne. Contact them directly to benefit from it.

Make sure you read and understand every part of the contract before signing! Once signed, there's no going back, and you must comply with all of its terms. A loan is a commitment and must be repaid.

  • Jobaviz is a specialized online platform in the search for student jobs, by putting you in touch with local employers.
  • Each year, ENSEA recruits a few students to strengthen the teams in the Documentation Resources department.

Good to know:  For apprentice engineers (ENSEA Engineer through apprenticeship), the host company covers the tuition fees! They also have the same status as an employee employed under a fixed-term contract and receive a monthly salary corresponding to a percentage of the minimum wage for the duration of their training, adjusted according to their age and year of study.

Community life, a taste of professional life!

At ENSEA, participation in community life is not only encouraged, but also valued by the awarding of additional credits in the educational path!

Involvement in community life allows ENSEA students to flourish during their studies but also to go beyond their engineering training. It's giving meaning to your student life by developing a project, but it's also up skills and acquire the soft skills essential for professional development: team spirit, responsibility, autonomy, responsiveness, communication, etc.

"The ENSEA community is a human, professional, and personal opportunity! It not only allows me to give meaning to my career and create wonderful friendships, but also to differentiate myself in the eyes of companies."
Thanks to the HUM'ENsea association, we were able to carry out a humanitarian mission from A to Z: Tabax ak Ensea. We went to Senegal to meet the needs of the villagers of Thioffior: renovation of classrooms, installation of solar panels, implementation of sanitary facilities, maintenance and training of local stakeholders were on the program!

ENSEA students are therefore encouraged to get involved and lead initiatives, whether these involve solidarity projects, entrepreneurship, participation in scientific competitions, sporting challenges, awareness-raising actions, etc.

School is the ideal place to pursue your passions and explore new ones while developing your talents within an association, whether already existing or yet to be invented!

A rich and diverse community life

Student associations bring student life to life at ENSEA and make it unique!

In total, more than 35 centers and "associations" punctuate the daily life of the school with activities, workshops, sporting and cultural events, competitions, student evenings, etc.

There are many themes, there’s something for everyone!

  • Student life and festivities
  • Computer science and robotics
  • Business and entrepreneurship
  • Art, culture and multimedia
  • Commitment and humanitarianism
  • Sports and travel

ENSEA is committed to combating harassment and sexist and sexual violence (HVSS)

Better safe than sorry. This is the student life that we have decided to lead at ENSEA to fight against Harassment and Sexist and Sexual Violence (HSV). Staff members and students carry out awareness-raising and mobilization actions throughout the year in order to preserve the school as a safe place (of study and work). A 3-step strategy:

To raise awareness : In addition to digital prevention campaigns, the Student Life Service organizes conferences and workshops throughout the year to raise awareness of the risks. Theater companies such as Actheatre Le Miroir aux gens and De(s)abord(s) work on our premises to understand, identify, and respond to cases of HVSS.

Empower: The REVERTO virtual reality training or the Hally prevention program, which focus on consent, is mandatory for participating in certain student parties and is automatically required for organizing them.

Each year, the school, the ENSEA BDE and the CAVE – ESOUND association, the main organizer of student evenings, will be present at the congress organized by the BNEI - National Bureau of Engineering Students, the Conference of Grandes Écoles (CGE) and the CDEFI - Conference of Directors of French Engineering Schools for a day of training and the signing of the Cpas1Option Charter!

Accompany via :

  • Un reporting device accessible online from the school's website and intranet, for victims or witnesses of violence, including HVSS.
  • Un network of qualified partners and privileged contacts, as well as all our internal contacts.
  • Teaching Women Safe & Children, an outsourced listening and support unit.
  • A psychological support by one of our partner associations, Passage, and the University Health Service.
