ENSEA is an excellent school for electronics and computer science! It provided me with a wide range of skills, an active and professional student life, and a broad network of graduate engineers, partners, and companies.
The school's strong points? The events, the cohesion, the atmosphere.

A versatile, very rich and comprehensive engineering training in electronics

I chose ENSEA for its multidisciplinarity.

After completing my two years of CPGE PC at the Lycée Turgot (Paris), I was still struggling to define specific career goals. I preferred to opt for a recognized, generalist school, where I would have the opportunity to explore various aspects of electronics and computing, fields that already interested me at the time.

Joining ENSEA ensured academic excellence, multidisciplinarity, a network, and partner companies. The emphasis given to artificial intelligence, embedded systems, and machine learning in the program was a plus!

Once at school, I discovered a very rich and comprehensive training in electronics. We touch on all the related fields and the advantage is that we can really realize what we like and what we like less. The school remains generalist, and allows us to specialize in the field we want through different options and specialties.

Personally, I chose the "Signal and Electronics" major and, in the second year, the "Signal and Electronics for Music" option. The proximity to the professors and the richness of the speakers made these courses particularly interesting! And in terms of projects, the one I preferred was my AI project for weed recognition using deep learning for agriculture.

An Assistant Engineer internship in the Artificial Intelligence sector, internationally!

Currently, I am doing my 2nd year Engineering Assistant internship in Copenhagen, Denmark.

To put this into context, artificial intelligence is consuming more and more energy and memory, which is one of the main contemporary challenges. It is therefore imperative to find solutions. My internship topic therefore focuses on what is called "Pruning": the optimization of GPU calculations in natural language processing (NLP).

My typical day starts at 8 a.m. and ends at 16 p.m., with a 30-minute lunch break, which allows for free time in the afternoon. For now, my tasks consist mainly of synthesizing and sharing knowledge with the teams, documentation, and coding. It also involves a lot of trying, failing, and finding solutions.

Every Friday, a person is designated to prepare a presentation to take stock with the entire department.

Moreover, a notable difference compared to France is the absence of hierarchy in Denmark. Everyone is addressed by their first name, even those in the highest positions.

I'm only at the beginning, but it's already very educational!

A professional, fulfilling and balanced student life

The community life offered by ENSEA is very rich. It offers the opportunity to realize almost any project that crosses our minds. If you have an idea for a community project that has been circling your mind for years, it's easy to bring it to life!

The diversity of associations is a real asset. All sports are represented, offering a multitude of options for getting involved and participating in activities we are passionate about. Whether it's to promote a social cause, organize cultural or sporting events, or simply meet up with people who share the same interests, there is an association for everyone.

As for me, I was President of the Solidarity Office. This involved managing a team, organizing events, and administrative management. The association project that marked my year was Explorasciences, a scientific mediation event for middle schools in the Val d'Oise. It took more than 6 months of preparation, meetings with departmental advisors, school services, businesses, students... It's a real leap in professional life!

ENSEA also values extracurricular involvement and allows us to combine our professional commitments. I'm a volunteer firefighter, and I've managed to find a balance between all these activities.
