We designed this website using a rigorous eco-design approach.
If you also want to significantly reduce the energy required for your browsing, you can activate Eco Mode.
In this mode, photos and videos are replaced by gray blocks, which significantly reduces the weight of the pages and places much less strain on our servers.
In this way, you actively contribute to eco-design.
Thank you for your commitment!
Le QUARTZ laboratory is a relatively young structure, born from the merger of the ECS-Lab, LARIS and LISMMA laboratories, at the beginning of 2015. The founding members are ENSEA, ISAE-Supméca, ECAM-EPMI and the University of Paris 8 Vincennes - Saint-Denis.
This merger was born from a unanimous desire to bring together and consolidate complementary and interdisciplinary skills in order to boost innovation in research. This approach also makes it possible to overcome certain scientific obstacles by working across disciplines with an innovative multidisciplinary approach.
The activities of the QUARTZ unit are structured around two research axes, themselves divided into several research themes, responding to specialized and recognized skills:
Cross-functional projects ensure interaction between the different themes.
The creation of the laboratory also meets a dual objective of capitalizing on professional skills on the one hand, and industrial collaboration in the field of engineering sciences on the other. Since its creation in 2015, the laboratory has been heavily involved in numerous competitiveness clusters (Systematic, Nextmove, Cap Digital, ASTech, Cosmetic Valley) and has contributed to the development of innovative companies through prototype design and patent filing.
Through their various research projects, ENSEA research teams participate in specialized projects, as well as multidisciplinary studies in the following areas:
